To meet the growing technical demands of our global customer base, Mek is expanding its engineering team. We are pleased to welcome Saša as our new Sales Engineer, based in Tilburg, Netherlands.
Saša’s role is centered on providing high-level technical support for our AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) and SPI (Solder Paste Inspection) solutions. Working across the EMEA and US regions, he will be responsible for advising on product applications, ensuring that our inspection technology is perfectly integrated into customer production lines.
From preparing technical proposals to translating complex requirements into functional hardware and software configurations, Saša provides the technical bridge our clients need to optimise their manufacturing quality. Reporting to Managing Director Henk Biemans, he will be a key resource for customers looking to enhance their yield through Mek’s advanced inspection systems.
Background and Experience
Saša joins Mek following four years at Tesla, where he progressed to a Lead Technician role. During his time there, he managed team performance and process optimisation within battery refurbishment, focusing heavily on the diagnosis and repair of faulty modules. His daily work involved high-precision tasks such as wirebonding and CNC work, all while maintaining strict 5S and quality standards in a high-intensity environment.
This practical experience is supported by his education at the Electromechanical School Varaždin in Croatia, where he studied mechatronics, electrotechnics, and programming. This mix of mechanical and software knowledge provides the necessary foundation for the calibration and technical demands of modern AOI and SPI equipment.
Outside the Office
When he isn’t working, Saša is a keen photographer, focused on both capturing and editing visual content. He also spends his time car building and car wrapping, staying hands-on with projects outside of his professional work.
