Mek sales director & Italian distributors carry out tour of Italy to meet existing & prospective AOI customers

Shoich Rashed, Sales Director for Mek, recently completed a week-long tour across Northern Italy and Tuscany, meeting with both existing clients and prospective customers. The tour was conducted alongside Mek’s Italian representatives, Fabrizio Bassanello and Gian Paulo Barison of Laryo Srl.

Visiting 11 companies—sometimes fitting in as many as four meetings in a day, thanks to the Italian tradition of working late—the trip combined stunning scenery, delicious cuisine, and productive business conversations!

During the tour, Mek’s pre- and post-wave soldering inspection systems drew strong interest, offering manufacturers reliable solutions to enhance quality control on their production lines. The standout, however, was our flagship 3D AOI system, the ISO-Spector. This cutting-edge AOI technology impressed potential customers with its precision, speed, and ability to tackle even the most challenging inspection tasks.

The week was busy but rewarding, yielding promising new connections. This tour was about building relationships and laying the groundwork for future partnerships.
