A few weeks ago, the Mek team headed to Munich for Productronica — the world’s leading trade fair for electronics development and production. This year’s event was bigger than ever, with over 1,600 exhibitors and a 20% increase in visitors, surpassing 47,000 attendees. Among them, our stand welcomed a good contingent from Germany — naturally — followed closely by visitors from Italy, reflecting the official figures reported by the organisers.
After a hectic setup day — and a minor hiccup with the booth build that gave us a brief moment of improvisation — we were ready to showcase Mek’s latest inspection technology.
Productronica Show Highlights
Among Mek’s inspection solutions, the following systems generated the most excitement:
- THT Inspection Systems – Mek’s range of THT inspection solutions drew significant attention, offering high-precision inspection for through-hole solder joints across multiple configurations.
- 3D Bottom-Up Inspection – The ISO-Spector X1 impressed visitors with its advanced 3D optics and projection technology for thorough THT inspection.
- Desktop AOI Systems – Mek’s desktop AOI range was popular with visitors looking for flexible, high-precision inspection solutions in a compact footprint.
- Bottom and Top Inspection – The PowerSpector BTL showcased Mek’s capability in combined top and bottom inspection, demonstrating versatility for diverse production needs.
- Full 3D AOI – The ISO-Spector M2 highlighted Mek’s commitment to precise, full 3D AOI inspection for high-end production environments.
Throughout the week, the Mek team enjoyed engaging with visitors, exchanging insights with partners, and demonstrating technology that continues to shape the future of electronics inspection.

Productronica 2025 reaffirmed why this event is so important for the industry. We left Munich with new contacts, valuable feedback, and the satisfaction of seeing our technology so well received — and one funny story about our booth setup to remember.
